Maria Zankovetskaya Park

The park has an area of 2.3 hectares where more than 600 species of trees and bushes grow, most of which were planted by residents of nearby houses. There are many valuable and rare plant species – decorative paradise apple trees, maples, magnolias, sakura, red oak, blue spruce, thuja, pine, birch, linden, mulberry, and acacia grow here. The park was laid out on the 20th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy – in April 2006. In the Maria Zankovetskaya Park there are children’s and sports grounds, a light and musical fountain, a memorial Maria Zankovetskaya House Museum, a monument Georgiy Gongazda, sculptures “Biosphere” and “Ball”.
