Singing Field and Pechersk Landscape Park

The Singing Field is essentially an area for concert performances, which is located in the Pechersk Landscape Park. The very concept of “singing field” means “open space” where concerts and festivals are held. In Kyiv, flower exhibitions are also held here every year. The Pechersk Landscape Park was created in 1981 as a continuation of the strip of city parks on the slopes of the Dnieper during the construction of the memorial complex of the National Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. The total area of the park is rather big – almost 45 hectares.

When creating the park, the slopes between Kiev-Pecherskaya Lavra, the new museum and the Embankment highway were put in order, paths were laid, and recreation areas, steps. Broken lawns and flower beds. In the late 1980s, the Singing Field was built in the central part of the park, and since the early 1990s, the annual city flower exhibition has been held here.
Green plantations are: maple, horse chestnut, warty birch, conifers, hornbeam and decorative and valuable species of shrubs.
