If you are bored with the city noise and have a desire to get out into nature, but you don’t feel like going out of town at all, then to spend your free time you can choose the Kiev in Miniature park, which is located in a picturesque place on the banks of the Dnieper in Hydropark. The collection of buildings on a scale of 1:33 of the park “Kyiv in Miniature” depicts the modern city of Kyiv with the most famous architectural monuments.
The park was opened on June 23, 2006. The area of the miniature city is almost 2 hectares. It took almost 4 years to make all 48 models and their number continues to grow. Before the process of creating layouts began, a detailed photograph of the originals was made. Only after that it was possible to start creating miniatures. All models are made of modern synthetic material. But this is not a panacea – the models exhibited in the open air require constant personal care. Throughout the time, a team of 20 specialists has been working on creating new layouts and servicing existing models.
Currently, the population of mini Kyiv consists of more than 700 inhabitants and is growing every day. The mini town has its own mini Khreshchatyk with Independence Square, and the mini Dnieper crosses 4 bridges: Moskovsky (Northern), pedestrian, metro and Yuzhny. Monuments of the most famous figures of culture, politics and art of Ukraine are located in the parks and squares of mini Kyiv, and 5 planes from different parts of the world landed at the Boryspil airport.
The park has become a favorite place not only for the people of Kiev and guests of the city of Kyiv, but recently wedding escorts come here. Young spouses in a short time can visit all the historical corners of Kyiv. Wedding ceremonies can also be held in the park. There are such parks in many countries of the world.
