The sweet bench “Big Baking Tournament” was opened on the observation platform Pevchee Pole of the Pechersk Landscape Park in September 2013, and nearby is another unusual monument “The world through pink glasses“, which was installed a year later. An unusual art object by Daria Khozhay was presented to the people of Kiev by the culinary program of the 1 + 1 TV channel called the Great Baking Tournament. The organizer and partner of the installation was the First Ukrainian Park of Modern Sculpture and Installation “Kiev Fashion Park”.
For the first time, an art bench appeared in the city, which you just want to eat. A colorful, appetizingly bitten cupcake with a shimmering cherry on the glaze stands out against the background of green crowns, and in winter it will dilute the gray park with bright colors. The author of the art object, a young artist Dasha Khozhay, is sure that the bench will become a favorite place for couples and children in love. The people began to call this sculpture “monument to the cake.”
